Foot of the Falls

1305 At the Foot of the Falls

Cold Wax + Oil, Diptych on 2 cradled panels, 36″ x 24″

After careening off the edge of the falls above, dropping, bouncing and ricocheting off boulders, the water slows down, moving quietly but deliberately among the rocks in the riverbed on it’s journey to the bay. I painted this set of 2 paintings in quiet colours with undertones of bright reds, greens, oranges and blues representing the hidden energy of the river.
